For the fifth consecutive week, hundreds of Antwerp residents gathered at City Hall to protest the situation in Gaza and the West Bank. Demonstrators used pots and pans to make noise, contrasting what they described as the silence of the Belgian government. They also called on the city council to remove the Israeli flag from the building’s facade, arguing it has no place there, but the council has so far refused.
